A Zulu worship song inspired by Psalm 18

Richards Bay, native Xolly Mncwango has released a new single ‘Ungukuphila‘ from her forthcoming album ‘Jesus Is Enough‘. Famous for working industry giants such as Joyous Celebration, Benjamin Dube and Khaya Mthethwa among others, the contemporary gospel musician has not disappointed on this solo offering as it is both passionate and Spirit filled.

Speaking on ‘Ungukuphila‘ Mncwango mentioned that it was inspired by Psalm 18 which reads:
I will love you Lord. Oh God, my strength, the LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer.

My God is my strength in whom I will trust. My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised.”

“’Ungukuphila‘ was written at a time when I needed a reminder of who God is to me, when everything that was going around us was scary and we were hearing bad news everywhere. I had to go to my corner and remind myself that God is indeed my stronghold”, Xolly Mncwango added.
