Gospel artist talks about his passion and his new album Mayenzeke Intando Yakhe
Mayenzeke Intando Yakhe (Let His will be done) is a third album from Gospel artist Sihle Mncwabe. The project is a solid offering targeted at the Zulu and Sotho speaking audiences. The 12 tracked album carries a strong message on each song. “I live and brethe music and made and album where each and every person will have a song that he or she can relate to. I even wrote some of the songs in Sotho because I wanted to accommodate everyone, and not just people from KwaZulu-Natal,” Mncwabe said.
Sihle Mncwabe was born at Incwadi and grew up in Imbali, Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu-Natal. He started his Gospel music career in 1994 whilst in primary school Henryville. By 2004 Sihle relocated to Gauteng for greener pastures to work as a back up artist for Lundi and the Afro-Pop group Malini before attempting a solo project.
Although his first project flopped, Sihle did not give up. In 2017, he won the Best Male Gospel Artist at the South African Volunteers Awards (SAVA) an award he won again 2018. Mncwabe (32) released his third album Mayenzeke Intando Yakhe in December, 2020. “After all the things I have gone through in my life, I figured that I need to produce an album where I can thank God for every thing that he has done for me,” he added. “I also wanted to give people hope and not give up during a difficult year,” he concluded.
