Jub Jub’s Gospel Rap tune tops charts

Ndikhokhele Remix exceeds 1 Million views

Whether it’s because of the great music, or because the song is traditionally sung at many churches, or due to Jub Jub‘s popularity due to his show Jola 9/9 or because of the great ensemble featured in the song, the fact is Mzansi has fallen in love with Jub Jub’s Ndikhokhele Remix.

The gospel rap song released in early November is currently sitting at 1.4 Million views on YouTube, over 120 000 streams on Spotify and has been sitting in the number one spot on iTunes since it’s release. Making the song an attractive drawcard is the fact that Ndikhokhele Remix has Jub Jub rapping about God on the verses while he features gospel heavyweights Lebo Sekgobela, Rebecca Malope, Judith Sephuma and Benjamin Dube on the chorus. On the circular front, Jub Jub also called on the vocal talents of Mlindo The Vocalist, Blaq Diamond, Nathi Mankayi and T’kinzy from Nigeria for extra spice.

Jub Jub (real name is Molemo Maarohanye) is a circular Hip-Hop artist and TV presenter who is gracefully leaving a dark cloud behind where a drag racing incident in which he was involved as a driver caused an accident resulting in four youth deaths in 2010. Following serving his time in prison and rebuilding his image, Ndikhokhele Remix seems to be the ideal redemption song for Maarohanye.

Ndikhokhele is Xhosa for “Lord lead me“. Click on the link below to listen to Ndikhokhele Remix #GospelBuzz
