Iconic radio and television presenter Bob Mabena has passed on. He died on Monday afternoon in intensive care. “The family is coming to terms with his passing and respectfully requests the public to afford them the appropriate space. Bob Mabena had been a voice in radio for various radio stations including Radio Bop, Metro FM, Kaya FM and recently Power 98.7. On television he was the face of the biggest music magazine show at the time, Studio Mix alongside Melanie Bala. Among other achievements, Bob Mabena won a SAMA for Best Rap Album in 1997 from an album with the hit single, Get Funky which featured the soccer star Doctor Khumalo.
