An affirmation to God to say that He is our everything, and we are His children

Once in a while one comes across artists who break the mould and do not conform to the the usual approach to making music. A recent example of this is the songstress Tsholo on her latest single Ho Wena (Ke Ngwana Hao). The song has a funk foundation with vibby guitar rhythms that instantly gets listeners in a jolly mood. A joyous upbeat reprise immediately follows getting one to sing along to “Ho Wena“. This is right before the first verse when we get introduced to a neo-soulful Tsholofelo Moatshe who is clearly having fun with the melodies that are followed by an unorthodox but fun chorus with intelligent harmonies.

Ho Wena (Ke Ngwana Hao) which was recorded mid-September is self-composed by Tsholofelo Moatshe and produced by Sithembiso Twala. The backing vocals employed on this jam include Zanele Khanyile and Tshepo Mataboge. The artist behind the song, Tsholo is an Ingoma (2017) and MAMA (2020) awards nominee who has toured both the US and the UK.

Commenting on the message behind the song, Tsholo said: “This is a love song to the Lord. It’s basically us creation saying to God: “I’m Yours. In you I trust, remain, rest, I’m your child.”

It is an affirmation to God to say that He is our everything, and we are His children“, the Meadowlands (Soweto) raised singing sensation’s added.
