In this video, the tears of those who cry to God are wiped away
“Come Holy Spirit” is the first lyric to Angie Botile’s new music video Moya Oyingcwele (Holy Spirit). The mellow single’s visuals have recently hit our TV screens and and YouTube. The beautifully shot, slow paced video has an all white studio performance backdrop with cut aways to township characters.
Centred around Angie Botile singing alongside a pianist in form of Mthetho Mbatha, the video also features a non-intruding spiritual dancer. Making the video extra-special are the township shots of a good samaritan lady who appears to be delivering food parcels during a pandemic thus bringing smiles to the community.
The shift from dark characters in masks at the beginning of the video is countered by brighter lit and smiling faces at the end of the video. In this video, the tears of those who cry to God are wiped away. For a great narrative, beautiful imagery and editing speed. This is our video of the week.
